V/A - Break The Rules #8 1997

One more fuckin' awesome punk compilation with old farts now. Splitting from his partnership with Incognito Records, Peter P., who compiled the Back To Front compilations, started his own label, Insekten Records, to put out his new series, Break the Rules. The series picks up where Back To Front left off (with #7). This, like the others, is s greaat mix of early rough-edged punk as well as punk with a poppier edge. And like his other comps here is Volume #9), he's have the permission from the bands to use these songs. Like the KBD or Bloodstains series: this LP is a killer! Get it yet and good Morning!

NIVEAU NULL - s/t EP 1981

Now a brilliant release which was long on my Wanted-List and I'm proud to present you this absolutly rare gem of a nice german punk record by Niveau Null, active from 1979 until 1981. Released on Heimat Records, a small independent punk rock label in Bremen which was founded 1980 and they were focussed by bands which came mostly from Bremen and the surrounding area, and all records came in a fuckin' small edition and not every one has a cover. "Then the record came out, but the cover weren't finished, so they decided to use the stencil for most of the covers of the record. When the covers actually arrived, most of the records were sold without the regular cover." (adsw77) - I've searched a fuckin' long time for this release and when I listen to this garage early '77 punk style sound I'm happy to start blogging. Without I presumably would stand in the shit! Four brilliant songs here and they also feauterd on awesome compilations: The Best Of The Rest 1/2, Nur Hits [Tapes], Unser Sämbler, Bloodstains Across Germany 1 + 2 (coming soon) and Break The Rules #9. In 2015 WSDP released a fantastic compilation of thirteen songs in an edition of 100 copies which sold out within a few hours. Cheers!!

ON FILE - Ejected From The Premises 1998

Music that somehow refreshes my day and it's advisable to switch off a bit and Scottish Oi! with On File from Dundee is perfect. Formed 1997 by Hedgy (vocals/guitars), Craig (bass) and Barry (drums) and one year later they released the Monday Thru Friday 7" and Ejected From The Premises but after three gigs the band split. Greg joined on Bass and Stewart on drums in 1999 before the band started touring extensively across Europe, and in 2000 the Another Day In Paradise EP was released followed by the second album The Real McOi! in 2001. In 2002 Pete joined the band and the Birds Don't Like The Skinheads EP was recorded and released. Shortly after Greg left the band and was replaced on bass by Gordy. The band took a break in 2004 and Rossko replaced Pete on Guitar when they started gigging again in 2005. During 2006 the band re-released both albums on CD with the singles as bonus tracks through Step-1 Music and recorded a new track for inclusion on a new Oi! Compilation which featured an exclusive track from all the best British Oi! Bands. Rossko left the band and was replaced by Paul on Guitar in 2007. The band had trips to Greece, Italy & France. 2008 and Blair replaced Paul on guitar, more trips to Europe beckoned and summer 2009 saw On File in the recording studio working on their long awaited third album. Finished on St. Andrew's Day 2009 Breaking Rules was released on Robbie Burns' Day 2010 and followed by more trips to Sweden, Italy, Belgium Germany and couple of rare appearances in their native Scotland.
